The Market Square is the most important square in the historic city of Bruges. It is Unesco protected as a world heritage site.
On the Market Square there are strict rules for parasols. They may not come beyond the edge of the terrace and may not exceed 2 m in height. Imprinting of a brand or the name of the company is forbidden. The colour of the fabric must be plain and neutral. The town council aims for uniformity.
